The destinations listed are easy day trips via Cab or Uber that we highly recommend visiting while in San Pancho. Each destination offers a distinct vibe making it easy to find something that suits every traveler.

Sayulita

San Pancho and Sayulita are both coastal gems along Mexico's Riviera Nayarit only separated by 4 miles, but they offer distinct different experiences. Sayulita is lively and bustling, known for its vibrant surf culture, busy beaches and the town's energetic vibe, with lots of restaurants, bars and boutiques. It's a popular destination for surfers, party-goers, and those seeking a social atmosphere. In contrast, San Pancho is quieter and more laid-back, offering a tranquil, artsy vibe with fewer tourists and a slower pace of life. San Pancho beautiful and less crowded beach attracts those seeking peace, while its strong community of artists and nature lovers adds an authentic, creative feel to the town. If you prefer a quieter retreat with a local artistic atmosphere, San Pancho is your spot, while Sayulita is ideal for those craving a more active, bustling beach town experience.

Lo de Marcos just 7 miles from San Pancho is a very small and charming town nestled in the countryside, known for its picturesque landscapes and tight-knit community. The streets are lined with rustic buildings where local shops and cafés offer a taste of traditional regional cuisine. Surrounded by rolling hills and lush fields, it's a peaceful place, perfect for those seeking a slower pace. The town’s history is woven into its architecture, with old stone churches and quaint town squares that reflect its rich cultural heritage. People in Marcos are friendly and welcoming, making it a warm spot to visit.

Punta Mita

Punta Mita just 14 miles from San Pancho is a luxurious coastal destination located on the Pacific coast, known for its stunning beaches, upscale resorts, and world-class amenities. The city is served by Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR), just a short drive from downtown and only 25 miles from San Pancho which makes a rental car not a necessity due to the plethora of Cabs and Ubers available that service both locations.
